Delmarva

Sylvia Keller is the SPC of Delmarva, which is the area made up of the state of Delaware, the eastern shore of MD and the eastern tip of Virginia. Prophetic words have been spoken and repeatedly confirmed over this area that three waves are going to wash over Delmarva: a wave of deliverance of God’s people, a wave of restitution of the back slidden and a wave of salvation.

In November, 2011, a group of Delmarva women climbed into two cars and drove in a cross pattern over the Peninsula declaring that Jesus is Lord over Delmarva and calling forth the fulfillment of every prophetic word spoken over Delmarva. We are standing shoulder to shoulder, praying in unity and earnestly expecting the fulfillment of these words. This is the time to walk with a true goal aim and purpose, not drift about in an endless circle. This is neither warm-up nor scrimmage; this is the real thing, the main event. It is not time to hold back. Now is the time to give our all to the Kingdom of God. It is time to arise and advance in both prayer and action. Feel free to contact Sylvia to learn more about prayer opportunities for Delmarva and for our Mid-Atlantic Region.

Maryland

Barbara Potts is trying to keep the Maryland Lighthouses and leadership teams informed on important issues and strategic prayers.

Maryland has been battling same-sex marriage since 2005.  But since NY caved in and since the homosexual lobby in MD lost a hotly contested battle this past year, they are coming back in 2012 with bigger guns and fresh ammunition.  Our challenge is to out-maneuver them through prayer, letters, phone calls and Truth.  We are currently putting together a strategy that will bring another victory for the Lord!

In addition, since MD is one of the two states that border Washington, DC, we are involved in praying over federal issues that ultimately effect us all.

North Carolina

Gwen Campbell has been the new State Prayer Coordinator for North Carolina for less than a year.  Since that time, she has been getting to know the areas of the state and the leaders.

Shortly after getting started, she attended the first meeting of the North Carolina Legislative Prayer Caucus at the State Capital in Raleigh.  She also attended a “Marriage Amendment” Rally, focusing on allowing the people to vote at the state level on an amendment that reaffirms marriage between one woman and one man.  This rally took place the day before the House and Senate were to vote on this issue.  ALL praise to God, we rejoice that the people will get to vote on this amendment in May 2012.

Gwen has recently formed a “Prayer Conference Call” twice a month with the Prayer Chairwomen across the state and other Aglow Leaders.  The goal is to bring unity across the state, with all the areas, as they join together in prayer for the many needs of their state, nation and world.  The motto for the Prayer Conference Calls is “Anything Can Happen When We Agree!”  (Matthew 18:19)

Virginia

Janice Newcomb serves together with Alice Holland in the State of Virginia as SPC.

Virginia is known as the “Covenant Root State”. The first legislative governing body in the New World began in the church at Jamestown in 1619 and continues today in the Richmond Capital.

Isaiah 2:2 says, “The mountain of the Lord’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains”.  Aglow women in Virginia are answering God’s call to GO to the seven mountains of influence in society (government, education, economy/business, media, family, religion, and arts/entertainment), PROCLAIM THE GOODNESS OF GOOD, and pray for His dominion to be restored.  Prayer teams are laboring together with God as we drive through our communities and cities to welcome in the presence of the Lord and ask Him to transform lives.   We are mindful to do “acts of kindness” (like passing out McDonald’s Happy Meals) to show God’s love in a tangible way.

Our prayer teams are going to the State Capital in Richmond to pray, praying for the healing of our land at the Civil War Battlefield, and doing prayer drives around Appomattox (the place where the Nation re-united) and over a Muslim compound in our state.

As part of Aglow International’s prayer initiative, called Operation 222, the State of Virginia is praying for an Aglow presence to be established on St. Helena Island (capital city: Jamestown).
