Yesterday was Sunday and the beginning of a new year. I walked my dog, Caesar, at Old Forge Elementary School before church. It was a beautiful, cloudless day, but the wind was brisk and chilly, so I took a short-cut across the playground and looped around to the front of the school. I noticed that there were no sheep out in the adjoining pasture. Usually, I see the whole flock on Sundays, but today the fields were empty. Continue reading
